SAMIDHA (KOWLI) SHAH
Architect

M.Arch. - Architectural Association, London
B.Arch. - Academy of Architecture, Mumbai
A firm believer of 'conscious architecture', Samidha focuses on creating unique spaces with a harmony of innovative design and energy-saving solutions.
During her masters in Emerging Technologies and Design at the Architectural Association, London, Samidha developed a keen interest in research and application of mathematics, material logics and generative design processes. Her experiments with folded structures culminated in her project ‘Manifolds’ – a unique self-built modular cardboard construction proposed for temporary housing – being selected for a full-scale life-sized construction at the European Architecture Students Assembly (EASA) held in Valletta, Malta.

Working with well-established firms in the past – such as SSA Architects, Mumbai and Escape Reality, London – has allowed her to gain the necessary professional experience over a wide scope of projects, ranging from interior design to architectural construction.

With a refreshed sense of motivation to pursue her own style of architecture, backed by the necessary professional experience, Samidha now tries to realise novel ideas into practical and functional solutions at Rachayantra.
